Editor’s Note

Dear all,

I hope your exams went well and you are all enjoying being back. I know, I know. Being back in college can only mean one thing: doing work. I realize that the thought of doing work does not sound appealing to many. However, I personally think that work can be enjoyable and can be something that one might gain plenty of satisfaction from.

This is why doing modules that you are interested in immensely important. If you are studying something that you have an interested in, you are paid doubly. You hopefully get paid for your work with your results and the other way you get paid is through the satisfaction you get from doing the work. However, if you are studying the module that you know you won’t like, there is still some time to change them. You have until the 10th of February to do so. It’s better to change the module now and be masse be much happier with your course, than avoiding changing the module and sticking with something that you are not that fond of. Trust me, I’ve been there! I’d suggested going to the lectures of the module that you think you might like and see what you think before changing your registration.

I realize that some of us hate college, and perhaps wish that we were somewhere else, doing something else with our time. Not everyone is studying their passion. But college equips are minds with intellectual tools that we can use in the real world.  Learning information about the world is never a waste of time and may enrich other areas of your life. So you might as well enjoy it.

I hope you all have a good second semester.

With warmest wishes,
