I seem to be lost in terms of what I want to do. I don’t even know if I’m doing the right course. I don’t even know if I should be in college. I’m starting to panic.
Take a deep breath! 5 seconds inhale, 5 seconds exhale, repeat for a minute. Most of us are just winging it and pretending to a have our shit together, first and foremost don’t panic, because unlike Rose and Jack (Titanic lol) we’re in the same boat. Its ok, we’ve all been there. My advice to you would be to figure out your passion, because if you know your passion then you definitely know your purpose. I’ve been asked several times “What would you do if you didn’t have to worry about money? “ and that question always puts things into perspective. Turn that into your career. Its hard out here! but along as you’re taking it day by day then you’re doing great.
It may also help if you dropped into the career development centre (Arts block) for a chat with the career guidance counsellor, to talk to a Careers Adviser initially email your enquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org
